I am cleaning out my user database ...

First round will delete all users that haven't logged on since 01-jan-2007, after i see the results i will continue, mandatory fields not entered will as well end up in a deletion. i hope that way i can get the tons of dead users out of the database.

So if anyone currently active does still not have birthyear and location etc. filled in, now it is time to do so (and filling in your profile data just helps to get in touch with others easier .. unless your only reason to be here is to look at pictures ...)

i have done some version update to the files and needed a new compatible theme as well, most likely there is the one or other bug still in, please let me know if you stumble over something not working.

There are plenty sites on the net - yes that is correct. Most of them however with a focus on the US market (dating pages where most participants are overseas will make a real meet rather unlikely...), some others with focus only on a specific local market (and most users there won't consider to travel abroad for some dating), so i thought it might be nice to have one for the EU market... somehow ...

I will try and see if it catches enough interest to be kept or further developed, but for now i have a beta-version online, i would like to have interested people to just check it out and give me comments where needed to it ...

Mind you - it is still beta and who knows if it ever will become successful ... but worth a try ...

Even if that 'Donations" button was not very often used, i had to remove it - paypal has closed my account because the donations come from/relate to a sexually offensive site (in clear words, paypal has turned anti-gay)

In case soeone really feels for donating to this site, i will talk private with you, but for all you auction/webshop uses, beware your account might get closed too once they find out what you are buying ....

All the time i am being asked why there are no locations in the users profiles. All the time i get complaints that people cannot find others in their region. All the time i have to give the same answer: it's not my fault that the people who register here have no interest in sharing that information.

So if you come here browsing the members list for someone in your area - well, don't hope for much success, unless the people who are registered here start providing that information.

Nevertheless, i am a bit tired of all the times getting this one question and complaint, so i have not only made the location-field a mandatory field, but i will soon also start deleting accounts that have nothing filled in there. A quick check shows i will delete more than half of all exisiting accounts then, but so be it ...

So if you are one of those who get deleted, then you know why ....
